Tomb of Annihilation Session 32 – Shagambi and the Terracotta Warriors

The group explores a secret door that Beldrak found.  While solving the puzzle of the first room, Yaka falls inert and takes some lava damage.  The group figures out the secret and after solving another puzzle, find themselves in Shagambi’s tomb surrounded by lots of Terracotta warriors.  Paavo informs the group that he’s going to start smashing the statues before they can animate.  No sooner has he uttered the words, the warriors come to life and start attacking. Beldrak went on to earn this sessions MVP award by casting a fireball that destroys the majority of the warriors.  Mopping up…

After Beldrak gets possessed by the spirit of Unkh, the group decides to take a long rest in the fairly protected area of his tomb.  While searching the last remaining room in Unkh’s tomb, they hear a rhythmic ticking coming from a strange device in the room.  Upon examining the device, Helm gets aged by 10 years. The group takes a long rest in one of the few safe areas in the Tomb of the Nine Gods.  Feeling refreshed the group heads back out for more exploration.  Going back to the pit room that Zay briefly discovered, they find a pit with a Clay Golem and a treasure chest.
