TOA Session 10 – OH SHIT! THAT HURT!

Day 27 is pretty uneventful, as the party moves across the marsh towards the Heart of Ubtao. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0NrKT47Iw7c Day 28 is one of those days where the party says “Oh Shit! That Hurt!”  The group meets a zombie Tyrannosaurus Rex tack kicked the ass of the party.  No player characters died, but three NPCs were not so lucky.  Undril Silvertusk, River Mist, and Flask of Wine were not able to survive the encounter.  Due to the dangerous situation, the group was not able to confirm if the NPCs were mostly dead or really dead.   Himo, Melech and Mr Happy #4…

Credit: Wizards of the Coast Day 24.  The group encounters a giant poisonous snake and defeats it.  Melech makes Himo a set of snakeskin boots since they are in the marshlands.  As they continue their journey, it begins to rain.  They decide to setup camp and these 5 foot tall birds that eventually make their way into camp.  In the end, the group discovers that they make great fried chicken.  Due to the heavy rain, they decided to stay at this camp for the remainder of the day. Day 22, the party sets out from Camp Vengeance headed to the rumored direction of Omu. Commander Niles Breakbone loaned the party the use of Unril Silvertusk to assist them.  The curse has grown even more serious, and the Order of the Gauntlet will do what they can to help. Gudrun Hightower – Killed by Frost Giant Day 17 begins with the party breaking camp and continuing towards Omu. After a few hours of travels, they meet Devin the Half-Orc and HetGarl the dwarf on the trail. Devin and HetGarl explain that they were part of a treasure seeking group that was almost wiped out by dinosaurs. They are the only two surviving members. For safety, and adventure, they join our party on the quest to stop the Soulmonger. TOA Session 6 – Saja N’Baza’s Shrine

The party quickly learns that the thorn bushes that grow on the stairs are there to protect from intruders.  The damage from the thorns is too much to just charge through them.  Melech decides to test to see if there are any weak spots.  His method of testing involves several squirrels,  glue and feathers.  Much to the squirrels dismay, there are no weak spots in the defenses.  The group, with a little help, is eventually able to figure out the secret to ascending the first two levels of stairs of the ziggurat. The party sets off from their camp near the shield guardian headed for Orolunga.  While on the trail, the group gets suspicious that they are being followed, and they couldn’t locate anyone.  Artus Cimber and Dragonbait stayed behind and set traps for the followers.  Hew talks about how Artus and Dragonbait seem to be trustworthy individuals.  He also comments that “It’s important to trust those you work with”.  The party travels the remainder of the day and pushes on a bit into the evening hours.  As they come into a clearing, they spot a large statue of a skull on…

As the party sets off downriver on day 4, the sky bring the threat of rain. After paddling all morning, the skys deliver on their promise.
